Sharon Redevelopment

We are developing to serve the residents of East Gwillimbury better!

Construction has commenced on the redevelopment of the Vince’s Market plaza at 1910 Leslie Street in Sharon, ON.

The redevelopment of this commercial plaza will bring:

  • Brand New 15,000 square foot Vince’s Market
  • 12,000 square feet in new commercial tenant space
  • Electric charging stations for Electric and Hybrid vehicles.
  • Beautification of sidewalks and curbs on Leslie Street, Farr Ave, and Sharon Boulevard.

During constructions, all existing businesses will remain open. There will be temporary restrictions of vehicle access and parking areas, and we will do our best to make sure that your safety comes first.

We anticipate construction to complete in the Spring of 2020.

Temporary Use of Towns Land Located on the South East corner of plaza.

To alleviate impacts to neighbouring streets and the existing parking lot, the Town of East Gwillimbury has granted us temporary use of town lands located at the South East corner of our plaza for the duration of construction. This area will be used to house our site construction trailer and some site storage. The existing walkway that connects Sharon Boulevard and Parnham Crescent will remain open. Entrance to the staging area is from Vince’s Market parking lot only. Once construction is complete this area will be fully restored. Use of the space will be limited to those times as outlined in the Town’s noise bylaw 2004-80 and noise generated will be similar to that which already exists with commercial vehicles that service the existing commercial tenants of the development property. The space has good tree and shrub cover, providing a natural noise barrier to surrounding properties, and will ensure we keep disruption of neighbouring streets to a minimum. Utilizing of this space eliminates the need to relocate the Construction Management Site Trailer and trade parking areas. Changing the space multiple times (as will be required otherwise) raises the concern of compliance by trades unfamiliar with a relocation.
