Kale Cleanser

Ingredients

  • ½ bunch of kale (Tuscan or Lacinato), stems removed
  • 1 handful of cilantro, washed and chopped
  • Sea salt
  • Olive oil
  • ½ lemon
  • ½ avocado, cubed
  • ¼ cup pomegranate seeds or dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup raw walnuts or pecans

Superfood add-ins: Try seaweed flakes or a sprinkle of Blue-green algae (optional) your choice.

Method

  1. In a large bowl, place kale leaves and sprinkle with about ¼ teaspoon of sea salt
  2. Drizzle with the juice of ½ of a lemon.
  3. Massage the sea salt the lemon into the kale as you break apart the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Once the texture of the kale has changed and the pieces are small, cut up your avocado and toss it into the salad.
  5. Rinse your cilantro and chop it. Add it to your kale
  6. Toss in your nuts
  7. Drizzle with 1-2 tablespoons of preferred oil, toss the salad, and eat.
