It was a proud moment for Team Vince’s when our Tottenham location received the Community Excellence Award at the 25th Annual South Simcoe Business Excellence Awards. Held on May 22 at the Community Hub in Bradford, the event brought together business leaders, elected officials, and community champions to celebrate what makes South Simcoe thrive – its people and the businesses that support them.
While many deserving nominees were recognized that evening, we’re especially honoured to have been singled out for our community contributions – because for us, giving back isn’t just good business. It’s part of who we are.
At Vince’s, we believe that for businesses to be strong, communities must be strong. That’s why we created Vince’s Community Support, our dedicated program for local giving. Every year, we invest $45,000 to support local charities, hospitals, house league sports teams, the arts, and grassroots initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of our neighbours.
Our Community Product Initiative is another way we’ve turned grocery shopping into meaningful change. Since launched in 2018, it has raised over $180,000 for organizations that are improving lives every day.
We don’t do any of this for the recognition, but we’re grateful for it. Because this award is really a reflection of the incredible communities we serve, and the loyal customers who make all of it possible.
“Vince’s is very proud to be recognized in the town of Tottenham,” said Maria Ciarlandini, Vince’s Community Ambassador. “Thank you for acknowledging and highlighting our team’s efforts to support this wonderful community.”
To all the nominees and winners at this year’s South Simcoe Business Excellence Awards, congratulations. And to our Tottenham community – thank you for your support.
