At the heart of our message is the concept of true sustainability, which hinges on two principles:
- Maximizing Use: The most sustainable bag (or product) is the one you already own. However, when purchasing new, opt for durability and longevity. This mindset reduces the need for frequent replacements, embodying true eco-consciousness. We don’t need that new thing all time.
- Choosing Wisely: Avoid being green-washed. For example, the notion that “recycling” is the solution for our waste problem is a myth, with only a small fraction of waste actually being recycled (only 9% is actually recycled). We advocate for products that ease the burden on waste management systems. Our emphasis is on Home Compostable over Industrial Compostable products, ensuring our offerings are not just nice looking, but also practical for home composting.
