Cooking a Sunday Roast of Beef

It happens almost overnight where we start thinking less about the BBQ and more about cooking with our ovens. Whether it be roasting poultry, pork or beef, we snap into a routine of our favourite food experiences of the past. One of those might include cooking a beautiful beef roast. Perhaps you have experienced sticker shock recently when shopping for that roast. The price of beef has gone up over 60% in the last two years so when you are looking to cook a “traditional Sunday roast”, the price might throw you off a bit. This is where Vince’s Market comes in!

The Beef Sirloin Tip Roast

The best value beef roast that Vince’s can offer is currently on promotion. The Sirloin Tip Roast over the last two years is really making a mark in the industry as pricing continues to shift.

The Sirloin Tip is a step up from a Rump Roast or Inside Round Roast, however the reason people haven’t fallen in love with it we feel, is that it contains three different muscles. Once you are finished cooking the roast, you may be unsure how to slice/shave it resulting in what you think is a tougher piece of meat.

Here at Vince’s Market we prepare this piece of beef differently from many other providers. When you purchase a Sirloin Tip Roast from us, we remove one of the muscles prior to it going in the counter. That means when you pull it out of the oven you simply need to slice/shave from one end to other!
