Since 2008, Ontarians have been enjoying Family Day, the 3rd Monday in February, as a statutory holiday between New Years and Easter. With such a long stretch observed between the two holidays, it came as a welcome breath for workers who needed a break from the winter blues.
The concept of Family Day is rooted in spending the day with your family and what better way to do that than to curl up with your loved ones, a couple of good movies, and snacks from Vince’s Market! With a wide variety of options, you’re sure to find something everyone in your family will love!

Get Creative with Tacos!
If creating a family meal together is more your speed this coming Family Day, tacos are a great culinary equalizer, with each member of the family able to lend a helping hand! And if you serve them in single serving chip or tortilla bags, it makes clean-up easy-peasy! While the adults man the stove, let the kids grate cheese, set up small bowls for toppings— from lettuce and sautéed veggies to sour cream and guacamole—and perhaps most importantly, be the taco taste-tester! Okay, well everyone can be the taste-tester! The fun part of this recipe is the fixing! Give your kids the freedom to assemble and customize their chip bags themselves and see how creative they get.
The sky is the limit when it comes to the diverse ways you can spend time with your family—bake a cake or cookies, prepare dinner or a special snack together, or tackle the laundry as a team. In the end, you’ll cherish the time with your loved ones and perhaps teach them a few new skills!

All Vince’s Market locations will be open on Family Day from 8am to 5pm, selling Wine, Beer, and Cider in our Uxbridge location and Beer and Cider in our Sharon location.
