The Masters Tournament, also known as The Masters or The US Masters, is one of the four major championships in professional golf. Scheduled for the first full week of April, The Masters is the first major of the year. And unlike the others, it is held every year at the same location, Augusta National Golf Club. This s a private course in the southeastern United States, in the city of Augusta, Georgia. We know some of our customers are golfers and golf fans who watch the tournament each year with family and friends. So this year we’ve decided to give you a few ideas to make the event a little more special!
Build Your Own Concession Stand
One the biggest aspects of any party is the food—c’mon let’s be honest, it is one of life’s greatest pleasures! Here are a few clever ideas to help make your CONCESSION STAND (see what I did there?) a hit with every golfer out there!
A clever way to get your guests into the golf spirit is to theme your offerings. The GREENS are your simple salads that everyone enjoys and appreciates. Easy to make with endless possibilities, there’s no way you can choke!
Another easy but delicious salad idea is the GOLF BALL Salad made with cherry or grape tomatoes and bocconcini. A simple dressing added to the mixture with some fresh basil and you’ll have a grand slam on your hands!
Golf-Inspired Sandwiches
Other great ideas for golf inspired dishes and foods are Club Sandwiches and BOGIE Hoagies. You can also do BIRDIE Wings, CHIP Shots (bowls of chips are an easy staple for every party). And for dessert, you can serve premade PAR-faits or Donut HOLES-IN-ONE!
Back Nine Beverage Bar
The drink station or the BACK NINE Beverage Bar as I like to think about it is another terrific way to add a little golf flair for your guests. Obviously, you can serve Iced TEE, and the typical ARNOLD PALMER which is half iced tea and half lemonade. Even water can be jazzed up by calling it WATER HAZARDS or WATER TRAPS! For the adults in your group, you can make a section called The 19th HOLE and serve different types of beers and ciders. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can make some SAND-gria!
