Vince’s Honoured to receive CMHA Community ‘Beacon of Light’ Award

Vince's Honoured to Receive CMHA Community Beacon of Light Award Release

Sharon, ON, November 22, 2022

Vince’s is pleased to be a recipient of the CMHA York Region and South Simcoe ‘Community Beacon of Light’ award. The event, which was held recently at SilverCity Newmarket Cinemas, recognized not only CMHA employees and volunteers for their achievements, performance, and commitment to the community, but also highlighted the contributions of local businesses who support the CMHA and serve as champions for Mental Health for All.

“Vince’s was honoured to be recognized with the Community Beacon of Light Award from CMHA York Region and South Simcoe,” said Maria Ciarlandini, Vince’s Community Support Ambassador. “I have gained so much knowledge about the CMHA in this past year and look forward to all the amazing new developments they have in store for the future.”

In terms of Mental Health, care can range widely from short-term situations that require immediate and timely intervention, to long-term life challenges that require sustained treatment and support. And it all begins with someone – for example, a friend or family member – recognizing that help is needed.

“The CMHA York Region and South Simcoe is the organization in our community that answers that call,” said Giancarlo Trimarchi, managing partner at Vince’s. “The range of programs and services they provide is astounding. I am proud that Vince’s was able to support this organization in 2022 and do a small part by providing our Community Product Initiative funds to help ensure that valuable services are available. You never know when someone is going to say ‘I need help,’ but we know that the CMHA will be there when they do.”

Cathy Cowan, senior director of communications, CMHA York and South Simcoe adds: “Vince’s is a true champion for CMHA and mental health in York Region and South Simcoe. Thanks to their leadership, generosity and community devotion, youth, adults, and family caregivers are finding and receiving the mental health support they need. We are inspired by their profound commitment and the impact they’re making in our community.”
