Sharon, ON, June 23, 2022

Vince’s is pleased to be recognized by DCI (Distribution Canada Inc.), earning the CIGBA/DCI Social Responsibility Award. This award is given to a retailer or supplier who has shown commitment or leadership within a community-based, green/environmental, or charitable initiative. Vince’s has a long history of community giving, with DCI representatives citing some of their more recent initiatives and contributions:

  • Vince’s Community Product Initiative (CPI) has raised more than $83K over the past four years to several life-changing organizations within the communities they serve.
  • In 2021, the CPI raised $25,812 to help support the Mental Health Program at Southlake Regional Health Centre. The 2022 recipient is the Canadian Mental Health Association – York Region and South Simcoe.
  • Project Smile (#S.O.S. Support Our Seniors) hosted parties at Alexander Muir Retirement Residence and at two other area retirement homes at a time when it was needed most.
  • Vince’s employs a dedicated “Community Ambassador” – Maria Ciarlandini – who looks for opportunities such as these to positively impact the community.
  • Vince’s belief that “for business to be strong, communities must be strong.” Vince’s Cares, commits an annual budget of $45,000 to be put back into the communities that they serve through volunteering, sponsorships, gift cards, and monetary donations.

“Corporate philanthropy is part of who we are, and we are humbled to be selected as the overall winner in this important category,” said Vince’s managing partner Giancarlo Trimarchi. “It is a privilege to be in a position to help during these challenging times, and it is through the efforts of our Team members that we are able to support so many community organizations.”
