4 Ways to Cook Lamb for Easter
In this special Easter episode of Vince’s at Home, guest Chef Domenic is back in the kitchen, and this time, he’s joined by his son Amadeo, a new member of the Vince’s Market team! Amadeo may be helping with prep now, but growing up in his father’s restaurant, Portofino, his main job was washing all the dishes!
Lamb is a traditional dish for Easter in Italian households, and Chef Domenic is showing us 4 delicious ways to prepare it, so the whole family—kids and adults alike—can enjoy this festive meal.
🥩 4 Ways to Prepare Lamb for Easter:
1️⃣ Breaded Lamb Chops – A favorite among kids! The bone acts as a handle, making it easy to eat.
🔹 Cut the chops and trim excess fat.
🔹 Coat in flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.
🔹 Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
🔹 Serve and watch them disappear!
2️⃣ Roasted Boneless Leg of Lamb – A centerpiece dish for Easter dinner!
🔹 Stuff a boneless leg of lamb with whole garlic cloves.
🔹 Season with salt, pepper, and paprika and tie with butcher’s twine for even cooking.
🔹 Place on a wire rack over a deep baking sheet filled with veggies and trimmed lamb fat.
🔹 Add a bit of water to create a flavorful pan gravy.
🔹 Roast in the oven at 500°F (260°C) until the internal temp reaches 54°C (130°F) for a perfect medium-rare.
🔹 Slice and serve with pan juices!
3️⃣ Lamb Chops with Potatoes and Tomatoes – A hearty, comforting dish!
🔹 Parboil potatoes until just tender.
🔹 Season lamb chops with salt, pepper, and paprika and brown in vegetable oil.
🔹 Sauté with white onions, then add chopped tomatoes to form a rich sauce.
🔹 Toss in the potatoes and let them soak up all the delicious flavors.
4️⃣ Grilled Lamb Chops – Simple and packed with flavor!
🔹 Season lamb chops with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
🔹 Fry in a bit of vegetable oil with fresh rosemary sprigs.
🔹 Brown on both sides and serve hot!
