Vince’s has set a new fundraising milestone, announcing a $35,419 donation to the Grocery Foundation through its 2024 Community Product Initiative (CPI). This marks the largest contribution ever made by Vince’s to the Foundation, thanks to the overwhelming support from customers, vendors, and staff.
The funds raised will directly support the Grocery Foundation’s mission to provide healthy breakfasts for the 1 in 3 Canadian children at risk of starting their school day on an empty stomach. Unlike previous years, when Vince’s participated in the Foundation’s annual two-week “Toonies for Tummies” campaign, 2024 saw the independent grocer dedicate an entire year to raising funds for this critical cause.
For 2025, Vince’s is once again partnering with the Grocery Foundation, joining the newly rebranded campaign, “Make Happy Tummies.” The initiative, formerly known as Toonies for Tummies, has been given a refreshed name and look to better reflect its commitment to nourishing children’s physical and emotional well-being.
The national Make Happy Tummies campaign runs from January 23 to April 17, with over 1,700 participating grocery retailers aiming to raise $4 million. If successful, this goal will provide over two million breakfasts to more than 3,000 school breakfast programs across Canada. Vince’s will launch its own two-week campaign starting January 30, coinciding with its flyer release, and running through February 12.
Vince’s has consistently supported the Grocery Foundation’s efforts, and this year’s rebranded campaign promises to continue making a positive difference. With 100% of donations going directly to local school breakfast programs, the initiative ensures that every dollar raised helps children thrive both physically and emotionally.
