We are pleased to announce that our Tottenham location was recently recognized as the best small-format grocery store in Canada by the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG). We were chosen from a field of more than 500 stores that were scored in each of four categories: specialty, small format, medium format and large format.

Winners were announced for each region in Canada (Western, Central, Ontario and Eastern), and we initially received top honours in Ontario for small format. The final four were then scored overall, leading to Vince’s winning the gold medal in our category for all of Canada.

The CFIG’s Independent Grocer of the Year Award (IGYA) is a celebrated recognition program that highlights grocery retail excellence among independents. Entrants are evaluated on customer service, staff and department management, store layout, merchandising, creativity, cleanliness, and community involvement.

“This underscores the hard work that has gone into our Tottenham location, from the opening in 2017 to the hard days and nights building our customer base and exceeding their expectations,” said Vince’s partner Giancarlo Trimarchi. “The award is for our Tottenham team, and their loyalty and passion, day-in and day-out. I am truly thankful for their contributions to our business.”
