Valentine’s Day is creeping up fast, which means it’s time to impress your significant other with a meal that says “I put in the effort” – even if your cooking skills are, well, a bit undercooked.
But don’t sweat it! We have your back.
The Effortless Gourmet
If you want to pull off a restaurant-quality dinner without the stress (or the stack of dishes), drop by our Prepared Foods section. A roasted barbecued chicken, a tray of grilled veggies, and golden, seasoned potatoes are a nice option. Just transfer them to your own serving dishes, hide the evidence (drop the containers in the recycling bin), and open a bottle of wine. Voilà! A stress-free dinner that looks and tastes like you spent hours in the kitchen.
Or do-it-yourself
If you’re feeling more adventurous, why not take it up a notch? We’ve got heart-shaped pasta that’s ideal for Valentine’s Day. Toss it with one of our Vince’s Own sauces (almost as good as homemade), pour a glass of Cab Sauvignon or Pinot Noir, and you’ve got a simple but romantic meal.
Dial it up a notch
Looking to impress? Salmon is always a winner. We recommend our Verlasso salmon, raised sustainably in the chilly Humboldt current off the coast of Chile: no hormones, no antibiotics.
Pan-sear it to perfection and pair it with spiralized veggies (think pasta, but healthier). A drizzle of lemon, a light toss in one of our sauces, and you’re set. Just add a riesling, chardonnay, or sauvignon blanc, and this might just be your best Valentine’s dinner yet.
End on a Sweet Note
Of course, no romantic dinner is complete without dessert. Swing by our bakery for something sweet, like one of the many cake varieties by Dufflet, Larocca, or our Vince’s Own.
Whatever your Valentine’s Day plans, we have everything you need to make it memorable. And if you need a little inspiration, our friendly staff are always happy to help.
Cheers to a night of good food and great company!
