Maple syrup signals the arrival of spring

It is officially Maple Syrup Season!

There is so much to love about Maple Syrup. It’s perfectly sweet, high in antioxidants, and it’s Canadian! When I think of Maple Syrup, I think of not only its delicious taste on pancakes, waffles, and French toast but of time spent with family – enjoying quality time together, passing the maple syrup around the table.

Speaking of family, Trillium Ridge Sugarworks is a family-run farm, owned by Terry and Vickie Gervais. They have been producing maple syrup for over 40 years. Trillium Ridge maple syrup is smooth, certified organic, and it is produced using a wood-fired evaporator.

The farm is located north of Prince Edward County on Maple Sugar Road. How fitting! Trillium Ridge says tapping the trees for this delicious syrup is Canada’s first natural taste of Spring.

Another way to enjoy the “fruits” of our maple forests is by drinking Sapsucker beverages. Sapsucker is organic, sparkling tree water. These beverages are plant-based and nutrient rich. Maple sap is not only high in antioxidants, but also in nutrients such as zinc, magnesium, calcium, and potassium.

Sapsucker supports Canadian farmers. Maple Sap production helps keep hardwood forests standing and healthy rather than cutting them down for lumber or development.

Sapsucker offers five delicious flavours – Grapefruit, Orange, Lime, Lemon, and Original. Enjoy it on its own, as a mocktail, or even a cocktail!
